We all know that it can be a little tricky traveling anywhere with the children in tow, and to a foreign country even more so. There is always the thought of whether the younger ones will enjoy themselves and stay occupied.<\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as you arrive,\u00a0Venice screams adventure<\/strong>\u00a0with its endless bridges, glistening canals, and maze of hidden treasures, which will leave your children in wondrous awe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where else do you see boats in place of busses and cars? The city is made up of hundreds of islands in a lagoon, all connected by bridges. Whether you arrive into Venice from the airport or train station, the family will take a water taxi ride to your hotel, what better way to\u00a0introduce the kids to this amazing city<\/strong>\u00a0with something out of the norm?<\/span><\/p>\n

For a great introduction of the town, why not entertain the children with a\u00a0Scavenger Hunt of St. Marks & Rialto Bridge<\/a>? Very much an\u00a0interactive tour<\/strong>\u00a0geared up for the whole family, discovering some unique, hidden treasures around the city where you\u2019ll learn some interesting\u00a0history along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tour will take you for a wander around the world famous St. Marks Square<\/strong>, across the enclosed bridge of sighs which is very pretty and quaint, where once, prisoners would cross en route from the Palazzo Ducale<\/strong> to prison, made of limestone with barred windows which you can peer through down the canal. <\/span><\/p>\n

You will discover the exterior of St. Marks Basilica<\/strong> with its striking bell tower, and the Venetian splendour of Doge\u2019s Palace<\/strong>. We will wander over to the historical Caf\u00e9 Florian, which founded in 1720 is said to be the first coffee house in Italy, before heading over to see the most celebrated opera house in Venice- La Fenice.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Children love to hear about, and see Contarini Palace<\/strong>, with its marvellous open spiralled staircase en route to the beautiful renaissance Rialto Bridge, another of the city\u2019s most renowned landmarks spanning over the Grand Canal where you could even take a gondola ride if you fancied.<\/span><\/p>\n
