London<\/strong> may be an expensive city but there are plenty of affordable opportunities to explore London<\/strong>, not to mention the free museums and colorful markets. Accommodation can also be found on a reasonable price. I love using Airbnb<\/strong>, or you can also check other budget hotels in London<\/a> for your trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if it\u2019s hard to visit the city for a weekend and enjoy most of the iconic places, it is not impossible. In this article I\u2019m giving you some ideas of things to do in London if you have limited time and tight budget.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Platform<\/p>\n

1. Platform 9 \u00be<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Any Harry Potter fan will appreciate that stop. Follow the line to King\u2019s Cross metro station, take a picture on the platform and who knows, maybe you\u2019ll find your way to Hogwarts\u2026 Don\u2019t forget to visit the Harry Potter shop just next to the platform and take a magic wand for your siblings.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Street<\/p>\n

2. Street art chasing<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

London has tons of it.\u00a0Even if you don\u2019t look for it, you\u2019ll find yourself surrounded by portraits, grafitii and any other forms of street art.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Be on the East and West Globe at the same time<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you visit Greenwich park you’ll have the chance to step on the Prime Meridian which devides Earh on East and West globe. It’s an iconinc place and you shouldn’t miss it. Also, when you climb the hill you’ll find a spectacular view of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Take a picture of St. Pancras Station’s impressive architecture<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

St. Pancras is one of the biggest stations in London. Its impressive architecture will leave you breathless. Shoot a picture or two and head to your next stop.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Monopoly\"<\/p>\n

5. Play Real Life Monopoly<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Wherever you are in London you\u2019ll find Monopoly references everywhere. I\u2019ve been raised with that game (the UK Version) and when I was in London I was living my childhood again. Bond Street, Park Lane, Oxford Street, Picadilly Curcus, Euston Road, etc\u2026 they\u2019re all real, Mom!<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Travel on the front seat of a Red Buss<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Even without ending point, you have to take a red buss, go to the second floor and take the first seat. It\u2019s just what you have to do. No explanation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Camden<\/p>\n

7. Walk around Camden Lock Market<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Camden Market was probably my favorite place in London. You\u2019ll find everything you want to \u2013 souvenirs, crafts, piece of arts, clothes. Even if you don\u2019t buy anything, the visit would be worth it.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Glaze the architecture art on Camden Market<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The buildings are covered with unbelievable sculptures. You\u2019ll mostly find yourself taking pictures of the buildings and it\u2019s well explainable.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Buy a vintage item \u0430\u0442\u00a0Stables Market<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Stables Market \u00a0is located in the historic former Pickfords stables. It\u2019s every vintage lover place. You\u2019ll find many items, clothing and art pieces for alternative sub-cultures right here.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. Take a picture with Amy Winehouse statue<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Amy Winehouse statue is located in the heart of the Stables Market. It\u2019s a life size and you can easily take a picture with her. The bronze sculpture was unveiled in 2014 and sports the singer\u2019s signature beehive hairstyle.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t want to go to Rome and don\u2019t see the pope, right? Well, for London, it\u2019s absolutely necessary to take a picture with a red phone cabin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Piccadilly Circus is a busy meeting place and a tourist attraction in its own. Get lost in the crowd, take a few pictures of the iconic square\u00a0known for its video display and neon signs and move on to the next destination.<\/span><\/p>\n

18. Have fun in the world\u2019s largest M&M store<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The M&M store on Leicester Square is the world\u2019s largest candy store. It contains a giant wall of chocolate where you can create your own M&M’S selection. There is also a quiz to determine which flavour you are, many big M&M sculptures and places to take pictures of. There is even a recreation of the famous Beatles album cover on Abbey Road.<\/span><\/p>\n

19. Be in a movie on Leicester Square<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leicester Square is the centre of London’s cinema land\u00a0\u00a0and is the prime location in the city\u00a0for world leading film premi\u00e8res. It also co-hosts the London Film Festival each year. You can’t miss the opportunity to feel like a celebrity walking on the Square.<\/span><\/p>\n

20. Take a picture with a lion from Trafalgar Square<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Trafalgar Square is another iconic location in London. Instead of just shooting it, make an effort to climb the lions and take a picture with one of them. It’s an adventure on its own.<\/span><\/p>\n

21. Visit the National Gallery<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the place for the art lovers. Located on the Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery\u00a0houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. The\u00a0entry to the main collection is free of charge.<\/span><\/p>\n

There’s this red phone cabin with a perfect view of Big Ben. It’s the perfect spot for a “postcard” photo. You can’t miss it because the chances are you have to wait at least a few people who came there first.<\/span><\/p>\n

23. Visit the Canary Wharf business center<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Canary Wharf is a major business district. It\u00a0contains many of the UK’s tallest buildings, including the second-tallest, One Canada Square. You’ll see\u00a0HSBC Headquarter,\u00a0Citigroup Centre,\u00a0JP Morgan building,\u00a0Barclays Headquarters, Reuters building, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can find people selling caramelized peanuts at almost every attraction in London. If you are wondering if you should buy one, go ahead and do it. They\u2019re tasty.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tower of London is also known as\u00a0Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress. It’s actually a castle and not only\u00a0it served as a royal residence but it was a prison one time…<\/span><\/p>\n

26. Walk on\u00a0Tower Bridge<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t miss this famous London attraction. Practical Tip: Walk on the side that\u2019s further away from the Tower of London, it\u2019s less crowded there.<\/span><\/p>\n

27. Find the monument to the Great Fire of London<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not as impressive as I expected but it was fun trying to find the Monument of London. It is well hidden between some buildings near the northern end of London Bridge. It commemorates the Great Fire of London which started on 2 September 1666 and swept through the central parts of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

28.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Glaze the swans, ducks and squirrels at St. James Park<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

St. James Park is a perfect escape from the crowds near Big Ben. It is located in the heart of London and there are plenty of animals to glaze \u2013 swans, ducks and of course the cheeky squirrels.<\/span><\/p>\n

29. Walk on Millenium Bridge<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

There is some more for Harry Potter fans. You can\u2019t miss the Millenium Birdge which was featured in the sixth installment of the Harry Potter where the bridge collapsed following an attack by Death Eaters.<\/span><\/p>\n

30.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Take a picture with a horse guard<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
